Hello there, I’m Löesché
the illustrator behind Oktobre Studio, now living in the quaint town of Ampthill with my little family and our little Scottish Terrier. I have a tiny studio at home, where every available nook and cranny is filled with paper, paint, prints, packaging materials and all the little bits and pieces that come with running a creative business. I work on every part of Oktobre myself, from illustrating and printing to carefully packaging each order before it makes its way to you.
I’ve always loved making things. As a little girl, I was constantly doodling, decorating school books and diaries, trying handmade projects and even turning a vintage chair into a piece of art. I eventually chose the practical path and studied Civil Engineering, before spending a few years working in the industry. It was during those years that I realised just how much I missed being creative.
After a few years of learning, experimenting and finding my feet as a self-taught artist, Oktobre Studio was born in 2023. I haven’t looked back since! I absolutely love what I get to do now, and I feel so grateful that I get to be creative every day.
These days, I’m fuelled by coffee, Jesus and croissants. I’m inspired by life’s sweet everyday moments, and especially enjoy illustrating dogs, flowers and dainty patterns. I also have an ever-so-slight obsession with gingham patterns, which somehow seem to sneak their way into my art.
Through Oktobre Studio, I create greeting cards, art prints, personalised initial posters, personalised family illustrations and surface pattern designs. I’ve also recently had the opportunity to illustrate my very first picture book, which is incredibly exciting and definitely a big highlight for me.
Thank you for being here and taking the time to get to know the person behind the illustrations. I hope my work brings a little warmth, joy and cosiness into your world.
